d - Duties and Responsibilities:
Development of technical and financial proposals
Develop and execute project work plans, and revise them as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
Identify resources needed and assign individual responsibilities.
Manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.
Review deliverables prepared by team before passing to client.
Effectively apply company’s methodology and enforce project standards.
Prepare for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures.
Ensure project documents are complete, and stored appropriately.
Track and report team hours and expenses on a weekly basis.
Manage project budget.
Determine appropriate revenue recognition, ensure timely and accurate invoicing, and monitor receivables for project.
Follow up with clients, when necessary, regarding unpaid invoices.
Analyze project profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates and utilization
Manage day-to-day client interaction
Set and manage client expectations.
Develop lasting relationships with client personnel that foster client ties.
Communicate effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions.
Continually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships.
Build a knowledge base of each client’s business, organization and objectives.
e - Educational &/or Experience Requirements:
Bachelor Degree or higher qualifications in environmental studies, engineering, or other related field;
More than 5 years of experience in the development of environmental assessments (EIA, IEE, ESIA, ESMP, EA, etc.), environmental planning, developing environmental mitigation and monitoring plans, preferably in a consultancy role;
Proven track record of completing tasks and closing projects on time and within budget;
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and MS Project);
Familiarity with the environmental legal framework and permitting requirements of Lebanon;
Familiarity with the legal framework and permitting requirements of KSA and the UAE is an added benefit;
Familiarity with the legal framework and permitting requirements of the World Bank, IFC, EU and UN organizations is an added benefit;
Strong organizational and planning skills (i.e. day to day planning, client and team coordination, document control, briefing, etc.);
Strong reporting skills;
Ability to work effectively individually and as part of a team;
Team fostering spirit and leadership skills;
Exceptional communication skills including negotiation and conflict resolution abilities;
Fluency in English and Arabic (written and verbal);
Knowledge in environmental software (air modelling, noise modelling, etc.) and tools/ equipment is an asset.
